# What Results Can SEO and GEO Bring a Business?

> Three company results from SEO and GEO: 5,000 extra monthly visits from one kind of page, ad spend cut from \$25k to \$9k a month, and leads that matched a month of cold email.

SEO is the work of ranking in search engines such as Google. GEO is the work of getting your business named in answers from AI assistants such as ChatGPT. The three companies below used the approach taught in [this free SEO and GEO course](https://docs.agentmole.io/introduction/what-you-will-learn.md), and each got a different result.

## One kind of page brings 5,000 visits a month without paying for ads

A supplier in India sells cement, wire, and other construction materials to businesses. Its team noticed a clue: a competitor updated a cement price list by hand every month. That effort showed that buyers check current prices before they order.

The clue: a competitor's cement price list, updated by hand each month.

The supplier turned that clue into a page for today's price of each material. Its wire price page ranked first in Google, and Google's AI Overview, the AI answer at the top of the results, cited it as a source.

The supplier's page ranks first, and the AI Overview at the top cites it.

The price pages went live in late March 2026. Within five months, they brought 150 to 180 visits a day from Google, about 5,000 a month.

![Google Search Console chart filtered to the price-list pages. Clicks are zero until late March 2026, when the price list was added, then rise to about 150 to 180 a day by September 2026. Google Search Console, Google's free report of a site's search traffic, for the price pages over 12 months. Clicks (blue) are visits from Google search results.

## Search brings over 80% of a startup's new customers and saves it \$16,000 a month on ads

![Before: 25,000 dollars a month on paid ads. After: 9,000 dollars a month, with SEO and GEO as the number one channel.](https://mintcdn.com/agentmole/jWj9lcpVXQ27YX_F/images/introduction/ad-spend-25k-to-9k.png?fit=max\&auto=format\&n=jWj9lcpVXQ27YX_F\&q=85\&s=516bb10b2d4d151c55464c2e090ee032)

A startup spent about \$25,000 a month on ads, which used up its funding fast. After it started its own SEO and GEO work, search overtook ads, so it cut ad spend to about \$9,000 a month. SEO and GEO now bring more than 80% of its new customers.

## Founders got back the time they spent on conferences and cold email

![Outbound: 3 leads from conferences and more than 2,000 emails. First month of SEO and GEO: 3 leads.](https://mintcdn.com/agentmole/jWj9lcpVXQ27YX_F/images/introduction/outbound-vs-search-leads.png?fit=max\&auto=format\&n=jWj9lcpVXQ27YX_F\&q=85\&s=a57311cf85522eef4860e612b6c9e029)

An early-stage hospital-software startup from Y Combinator, a well-known startup accelerator, got 3 leads a month (potential customers who asked to talk) from conference booths and more than 2,000 emails. In its first month of SEO and GEO, search brought the same 3 leads in far less of the founders' time.

Each company found what worked for its own buyers. The rest of this course shows you how to find what works for yours.
